Get Involved
Zavala is only made possible by volunteers. Our board members, Zavala International Dancers and instructors, committees, and festival organizers are ALL choosing to volunteer their time and talent to create an inclusive environment that uplifts the Hispanic community.
If you'd like to contribute your time or talent, we are always looking for more helping hands.
Let's Make A Change
Here are the committees that are always open for new volunteers:
The Culture Committee
involves brainstorming ideas year-round that celebrate Hispanic culture and holding events that continue traditions
(Latin Festival, Día de los Muertos, Las Posadas, etc.).

The Art Committee
works closely with the Culture Committee to bring events featuring painters, musicians, and other artists to Wichita Falls.
With help from our partners at MSU and the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts & Culture.
 The Amo Leer Committee
is for people who believe in the power of reading and bilingual literacy. These events are partnered with WFISD (Zundy and Southern Hills), Help Me Grow Family Resource Center, and local businesses to host activities, authors, and educational musicians.
The Leadership Banquet Committee
is dedicated to our Spring event that raises scholarships for local students.
In April, we raised over $29,000 for students in need.

The Media & Marketing Committee
is for those who find joy in creating flyers, videos, representing Zavala in TV and radio spots, or are self-taught social media experts.

The Zavala International Dancers Committee
is a strong, functioning group of parents, dancers, and instructors preparing and scheduling events to perform traditional folkloric dance for the community.

All are welcome to join us! We enjoy having people from all backgrounds who stand with us, especially our non-Hispanic friends!
